City Council Meeting Minutes

July 6th, 2026 Westgate, IA

Location: Community Room, City Hall

Mayor Brett Fulton called the regular meeting to order at 6:00 PM.

Council Members Present: Brett Fulton, Randy Moore, John Prickett, Hanna Prickett,Tasha Wolff

Absent: Josh Vanskyhawk

Others Present: Larry Trickel, Sheryl Walker, Chuck and Becky Hurd,BillSmith and Wife

Approval of agenda: Moved by T.Wolf, seconded by J.Pricket All in favor.
Approve minutes: Moved by J.Prickett, seconded by H.Pricket. All in favor.
Approve treasurer's report: Moved by R. Moore., seconded by J. Prickett. All in favor.
Approve monthly bills: Moved by T.Wolff., seconded by J. Prickett All in favor.

City City Property: Place newpaper ad with description of what need to be done
City Mosquito Control: Weeds on fire Eric Wolff will take care of calling
City Flood Plane: DNR 1% of city in flood plane

Water Report: BlueBook Quote for Valve $1950.00. Sewer pump #2 check tomorrow. Clean out in Park needs to have a camera $1000.00 labor T.Wolff made a motion to have work completed Second By J.Prickett all in favor
T.Wolff made motion for repairs purchase gaskets and seconded by R. Moore all in favor. Need to run camera in tile line city park.
Community Club: Westgate Days 7-31/8-02-2026 Motion By R.Moore to block street access and Second By J.Prickett all in favor
Mayor: Cut down dead tree, pushed brush with tractor in the park. pot holes fixed.
City Equipment: R.Moore to complete projects B.Fulton to help.
Water Bills: On time
Library: Paint party 15th July, no takers Library to post agenda and minutes to website. Storage of books in building across the street
