Westgate City Council Proceedings

Meeting Details

City Council met in regular meeting. Savannah Hannan, Mayor called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM.

Council members present: Savannah Hannan, Dave Wolff, T. Wolff, Randy Moore, John Prickett

Others present: Tom Uhlenhopp, Sheryl Walker, Eric Wolff, Larry Trickel, Chuck & Becky Hurd, Jim Bartles, Deb Cowell and many town members to talk about the water bills for the month.

Motions & Decisions

There was a motion by D. Wolff and seconded by J. Prickett to approve the agenda and Minutes. Unanimous vote, motion passed.

There was a motion by D. Wolff and seconded by T. Wolff to approve the treasurer’s report, bills to pay and be paid.

The Sheriff contract was discussed. The council agreed we do not get enough value out of it. Clerk was instructed to contact other towns and ask what they are doing for law enforcement.

Reports & Discussions

• Water Report: Given by Eric Wolff. He plans to start flushing; has been completed.
• City Equipment: Discussed. B. Fulton was not able to attend the meeting. No report.
• Utility Billing: Report by T. Uhlenhopp. Bills were sent out on time. There will be no late fees this month.
• Westgate Community Club: Bike night was a big success; will be adding Sundays in the future for fundraising events.
• Library: Discussed by Sheryl Walker. Will speak with Cheryl on further details.
